I loved the hair feather trend back when it was popular in the early 2000s and I’ve been missing them!
Something about them just feels fun in the best way — a little boho, a little carefree, and perfect for summer.
So when I started seeing them pop back up again, I thought… honestly? These would be really fun to offer in the salon this season.
I’m officially offering Hair Feathers as a new add-on service here in Niles, and they’re such a fun way to switch things up without doing anything drastic to your hair.
What Are Hair Feathers?
Hair feathers are lightweight feather extensions installed into the hair using micro beads for comfortable wear and easy blending.
They add:
- soft pops of color
- movement and texture
- and a fun little unexpected detail woven into your hair
They can be subtle and natural-looking or a little more colorful depending on the feathers you choose.

Between local festivals, concerts, lake weekends, farmers markets, vacations, and Ren Faire season, summer around here is just a little more fun when you lean into it.

One of the reasons I wanted to bring hair feathers into the salon is because they feel low-pressure and fun.
Not everything has to be a huge hair transformation.
